Sr. Manager of Logistics

Position Summary:

The Senior Manager of Logistics oversees the supply chain for Love Wellness’ 3PL, freight brokers, manufacturing partners (CMs), wholesale, and retail partnerships.  They will create, manage and support best-in-class standard operating procedures with our partners as the brand continues to scale.  From day-to-day operations to in-depth relationship management, they must execute efficiently and represent the brand at the highest level. This role will have one direct report, the Logistics Specialist, and will report directly to the VP of Operations. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Manage 3PL Network

• Primary point of contact for day-to-day operations with our 3PL partner PDR (or any future 3PL). Strategize and support partnership’s growth and evolution. Collaborate with the 3PL leadership team to improve operational efficiencies.
• Identify performance gaps or issues. Lead technical troubleshooting and resolutions with our ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics), vendor EDI and reporting.
• Oversee receiving (RO’s and ASNs), assembly/work orders, inbound & outbound PO’s, eComm and EDI fulfillment, returns, SKU creation/management and product destruction.
• Develop new and/or improve existing SOPs to ensure 3PL meets SLA requirements & delivers best-in-class service.
• Manage ad-hoc and special projects from Sales, Marketing, Sourcing and New Product Development as it relates to logistics.
• Manage an ongoing cost reduction plan with the 3PL and partners.  
• Review monthly invoices and work with the 3PL to dispute any discrepancies. 

Oversee Freight and Transportation  

• Manage booking freight (including TL, LTL, FC, LCL) for supplier POs, partnering closely with Sourcing to establish PO ready dates. Streamline operational processes for quoting, booking, and tracking freight domestically and overseas. 
• Ensure reasonable lead times with freight brokers and on-time delivery at our 3PL.
• Establish and maintain a reliable network of carriers, freight brokers, customs brokers, and storage options. Proactively vet and onboard new partners as needed.
• Analyze freight costs and implement cost-reducing strategies on a monthly basis.  Report monthly costs against the budget. 

Supervise DTC and B2B Operations

• Manage retailer POs from Target, Walmart, Ulta via EDI from receipt to shipping, ensuring timely delivery of POs, and communication with our wholesale partners throughout the entire process.  In addition to retailer POs, Love Wellness has smaller B2B customers that will also need to be managed by this role.   
• Facilitate onboarding of new wholesale partners. 
• Review all DTC POs and continue to monitor their flow to our 3PL. 
• Communicate delays, necessary cuts, out of stock situations or other issues to respective business owners and partners.
• Ensure that reporting is received on a weekly and/or monthly basis.
• Identify process changes and improvements to better manage fill rate and drive efficiencies with partners. 
• Manage wholesale chargeback programs GETIDA, SupplyPike and others via the retailer portals. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• 6+ years experience working in Logistics 
• You must have experience shipping to wholesale/retail partners (Target, Walmart, Ulta and Amazon preferred). 
• You must have experience directly managing a 3PL partner (2+ warehouses preferred).  Managing overseas warehouses is a plus. 
• You must understand the fundamentals in forecasting, planning and accounting.
• Excel proficiency at an intermediate level is required. 
• You must be a strategic thought leader with an entrepreneurial mindset.  This position will require “out of the box” thinking and strategizing with other team leads.
• Experience working for a growing company is preferred.
